Just for the record, Michael, "Bad" Chad Dawson is anything but a boxing "prospect"...lol. The dude would've smashed B-hop in this fight, and I think he even knew it. I think he was trying to take a way out when he saw it. Call me wrong if you want, and I will eat my words if he has severely damaged the shoulder. I love B-Hop (and have since his resurgence in the late 1990's), but I feel like he wanted to take this payday and retire. I doubt he fights again. All that being said, that was absolutely an inadvertent (but illegal) move, and this should be ruled a no contest.

Nah, he wasn't overhyped. I think changing an opponent the day before you fight is going to fuck people up. Especially when you go from a mediocre wrestler with good striking (Marquardt) to a crap striker with great wrestling (Brenneman). That was a nothing to win situation for Story. Not to mention that he got taken off the main event. No boxing promoter would've allowed Story to take that fight, but I got to give Story props for fighting and being classy. Also, you got to give props to Brenneman for being able to keep Story on his back for 8 minutes in 2 rounds. He did NO damage, but he stalled the fight long enough.

I am a little surprised that Story is the favorite here. I wouldn't bet on him to win this fight at those odds, but I wouldn't bet on Marquardt to win this fight with those odds either.
